Project Partners

 The 3 leading partners are drawn from both the public and private sector:

Cybermoor will be responsible for coordinating the overall project management. They have extensive experience of managing previous broadband and EV charging infrastructure projects and are currently managing the SOSCI project.

Durham County Council with Transport North East supporting at an advisory level will be responsible for project managing stakeholder engagement and will draw upon expertise across the LA7 and other regional bodies to develop a regional approach.

Elmtronics is a national market leading North East based supplier of EV chargepoints and are the lead supplier partner for the project. They already have 180 commercial partners including local authorities and a NHS Trust and will lead on providing the suppliers perspective.

Innovate UK is the UK’s innovation agency, a non-departmental public body, operating at arm’s length from the Government as part of the UK’s Research & Innovation organisation.


The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) is a team working across government to support the transition to zero emission vehicles (ZEVs), providing support for the take-up of plug in vehicles, as well as funding to support chargepoint infrastructure across the UK. This will contribute to economic growth and will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution on our roads.
